Social Studies
In Social Studies we learn about our membership in our neighborhood, city, state, country, and world and our responsibilities as citizens, government, cultural differences and similarities, celebrations, landforms, maps and globes, human interaction with the environment, goods and services, and change over time. We study important people who have made contributions to cultures using the lens of character traits. We include many other topics as well.
Character Education: Our goal is to cultivate ourselves to be the best person and citizen possible. We treat ourselves and others with compassion and respect, to develop our emotional intelligence as well as our intellectual intelligence which is crucial to being successful and contributing members of society.
